Sun gently rises
After starting at 0730 we were finally airborne at 0752 and only a couple minutes later and the first rays of dawn are warming the horizon.
La Luna awake
Luna slowly decends. Lingering to see her lover Sol as he makes his ascent into the firmament.
That horizon though...
I was spellbound and captivated for the next 30 minutes as the sun slowly crept above the horizon.
Good framerates too
Trilpe monitors FTW!!
The colours blending.
Luna out to port and Sol creeping of starboard. What a morning!
Forgive the separation
Unfortunately it seems like it's impossible to perfectly capture the beauty of that sunrise across all three screens
Outbound from BAL
Outbound from the BAL NDB headed to SCAS
There he is finally
Sol rears his sleepy head over the horizon
Top of descent to SCAS
What a view
A long way down
Unforunately I read my altimeter incorrectly and instead of the 3000' I thought I was at, instead I was at 13000' and this was the first touch and go for the leg (SCAS).
Shed some Alt.
Not quite a bomber out of the sun, but I was still pitch down a bit to shed that extra 10000' feet I'd gained earlier.
Gooooood Morning Puerto Aysén
Slipping past the airfield after shedding that added height felt good.
Finally on final
All ahead, flaps full, looking good.
Buenos Dias Puyuhuapi (SCPH)
Nav point 3, check.
So many mountains
Hard to know what altitude to fly at.
Rounding on Nav 4
Decided to come in around and head out on 270 towards Nav 5
HOLA Alto Palena (SCAP)
That's either a tennis court or someone has an algae problem in their enormous pool!
This is gunna hurt
Coming in hot for the final touch and go at Futaleufú (SCFT).
Just a couple planes parked waaay off
Time for some refreshments
That's it, aircraft shutdown. Where's my hotel?
Parked and ready
Just got to shut this bird down and it'll be time for a walk around Llanada Grande!
